I've been made redundant khalil snafi This year Thames Festival – the annual mayoral river shindig – has expanded to 10 days. As part of the schedule the environmental charity Thames 21 (see below) and the Museum of London’s Thames Discovery Programme will be offering walks, workshops and activities related to archaeology by the river. Choose from a free walk exploring the foreshore at the mouth of the lost River Effra with an expert (Saturday September 7, 10am at Vauxhall); a guided archaeology walk on Bankside (Sunday September 8, 10am), adults £7, children £4; and a free walk on Tower Beach – which is open only twice a year – on Sunday September 15, 3.30pm-5.30pm.
